About Psyllium Husk Powder
What is psyllium husk?
Psyllium husk is the outer coat of the seeds of Plantago ovata, a plant in the plantain family. The husk is a soluble plant fibre. Stirred into water, it swells and forms a thick gel within a few minutes.

Psyllium Husk Powder is the husk ground fine, sold here in a 300 g pouch. It is a powder for mixing into a drink, as directed on the pack. It is one of three fibre powders in this range.
Psyllium, inulin or a blend?
The three fibre powders here are different plant fibres. Psyllium husk forms a gel in water. Inulin, usually from chicory root, dissolves in water without thickening. Plant Fibre Blend combines several plant fibres in one powder.
